VPNella is an independent blog about VPNs, proxies, online privacy and getting around internet censorship. We write for people who want to understand the tools they rely on, not just install them and hope for the best.
Why we started VPNella
The VPN industry is loud. Affiliate rankings, inflated speed claims and “military-grade encryption” slogans make it hard to tell what actually protects you. Meanwhile, more and more countries block websites, throttle messengers and fingerprint traffic. We started VPNella to cut through the noise with clear, tested and honest information.
What we cover
- VPN reviews based on real tests: speed, leaks, logging policies, jurisdiction and unblocking.
- Step-by-step guides for every platform, from phones and laptops to routers and smart TVs.
- Proxies: HTTP, SOCKS5, residential and datacenter, and when they beat a VPN.
- Bypassing blocks: obfuscation protocols, Tor bridges, DNS tricks and other censorship-resistant tools.
- Online privacy and security: tracking, fingerprinting, encryption and threat modelling in plain English.
How we work
- We test services ourselves and re-check them regularly. Results change, and so do our articles.
- We explain the trade-offs. No tool makes you anonymous on its own, and we will tell you where the limits are.
- Some links may be affiliate links. They never decide what we recommend or how a product is rated.
- We collect as little data as possible about our readers. Our Privacy Check runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing.
